Instrumentation, data acquisition and transmission for drilling equipment and Well Testing units.
Challenge.
The client required a precise system to analyze fluid behavior during the drilling and production stages. It was essential for the three-phase separators to be equipped with reliable sensors to acquire real-time data with accuracy and reliability. Additionally, ensuring the transmission of closed-circuit television (CCTV) for remote supervision of operations was critical. We successfully handled a train of 4 continuous wells during 2021 and 2022.
Solution.
We implemented surface electronic sensors on the drilling equipment, covering critical variables such as hook load, torque, pressures, levels, temperatures, flow, and strokes, along with an encoder system for precise acquisition of the required operational data. For the production stage, we equipped the three-phase separator with a strategically positioned matrix of electronic sensors, enabling perfect synchronization between the variable readings and our DAQ EPR system, ensuring efficient and accurate three-phase monitoring. Additionally, we incorporated real-time CCTV transmission, providing a comprehensive and supervised view of every stage of the process.
